CHITRASUTRA
The Art of Painting
Chitrasutra, a section of the Vishnudharmottra Purana, is a gift to the
world from greatest mind of ancient times!!!
Like any other art forms, Indian wisdom has Sutra (grammars) to create profound &
divine paintings. According to Chitrasutra , an artist must be able to see beyond an
object in order to capture the essence of the soul in their work.
"Being able to look Beyond" may seem surrealistic to many. But we belive it is
achievable. Because "Beyond" is what we call creativity.
According to Chitrasutra, true art exposes the grace of creation to everyone who see it.
Kamadeva is the Hindu god of erotic love, desire, and pleasure, often portrayed alongside his consort and female counterpart, Rati. He is depicted as a handsome young man decked with ornaments and flowers, armed with a bow of sugarcane and shooting arrows of flowers.
KERALA MURAL
THE ETHEREAL BEAUTY
Kerala Murals symbolize natural grace and beauty, elegance, simplicity and devotion. Typically, the murals explore Hindu mythology and deities.
Rooted in the tradition of drawing on the floor, this art form stylises god with its own charm. Each mural is evidence of the artists' unwavering commitment of their craft.
Kerala's temples and palaces are all visual feasts that tell the stories of ancient Hindu gods and goddesses. Kerala murals are unparalleled in their subtlety, sharpness and ethereal beauty.
The vivid murals depicting ethereal beauty decorated the temples and castles.
Murugan is widely regarded as the "God of the Tamil people". It has been postulated that the Tamil deity of Murugan was syncretised with the Vedic deity of Subrahmanya following the Sangam era.
ORISSA PATTACHITRA
Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth, fortune, power, beauty, fertility and prosperity, and associated with Maya .
Orissa Pattachitra is done typically in clothes or as wall murals or sometimes in dried palm leaves stitched together to form a canvas ("Patta" means the cloth, "Chitra" means the painting.)
The folk art form is known for its extremely intricate details and natural eco-friendly colors.
BENGAL PATTACHITRA
